Terms, in plain English.

No mystery clauses, no traps. Here’s how the subscription works and what to expect from us.

Last updated May 15, 2026.

The deal

Sideboard delivers hand-lettered chalk signs on a recurring subscription. You tell us what you want said. A vetted local artist letters it. We deliver, swap, and rotate on the cadence you signed up for.

These terms cover the relationship between Sideboard and you, the subscriber, starting the day you submit the subscribe form and we accept your business.

Subscription, minimum, and pause

Subscriptions start with a three-month minimum, billed monthly. After the third month you can pause, change cadence, or cancel anytime with 14 days notice before your next billing date.

Pausing is free. You keep your seat with your artist when you come back. Canceling ends the relationship at the end of the current billing month.

What we deliver

A finished, weather-sealed chalk sign on your board, lettered by the artist matched to your account. We deliver, install, and take the previous sign for retirement or rework.

We aim to deliver within the cadence window you subscribed to. If we miss a window for a reason on our side, we credit you proportionally. Acts of god, weather, and your business being closed at delivery time don't count against us — we'll reschedule promptly.

Your board

If you have an existing A-frame or chalkboard, we'll work with it as long as the surface is usable. If we need to supply a board, that's quoted up front and remains yours.

We don't insure your board against theft, weather, or accidental damage on your premises. Keep it indoors overnight when you can.

Revisions and creative

Each sign includes one round of small wording or layout revisions before we letter. Larger redesigns — new brand direction, full reworks — count as a fresh brief and may incur a custom quote.

Sideboard and the artist retain the right to share photos of your finished sign for portfolio and marketing use. If you'd rather we didn't, just say so in writing.

Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly to the card on file. Failed payments pause new sign delivery until resolved. After 30 days of non-payment your subscription is cancelled and any active sign remains your property.

Liability

Sideboard's liability for any claim related to your subscription is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding three months. We're a small studio doing chalk signs — we cover our work, not consequential or indirect damages.

Changes

If we update these terms, active subscribers get a heads up by email at least 14 days before changes apply. Continued subscription past that window means you accept the updated version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. Disputes get worked out in good faith first, and in the courts of Kootenai County if it comes to that.
